i500 App Reviews

I have been playing 500 for a number of years. Recently I have noticed the basic 500 logic doesnt exist. Example opponent bids 7 or 8 hearts and your partner bids 9 hearts. I kinda feel like Im playing with friends with too much to drink. Did you make some changes? Love the game.

Thanks for a 500 app. I agree with some of the other reviews. A 5 card blind would be nice with the 4s from all suits. Also agree that the logic could be a bit more "card player-ish". Playing lower cards for trump ins, not bidding same suit as opponent etc... Thanks again.

So glad someone put out a 500 app! Id love to see more options - a 5 card blind, restricting bets to 7 tricks with an inkle option, partners who dont bid in the same suit as opponents.

Love it! Agree with others about kitty and ai a bit, but better than an old pc version I enjoyed playing for years. Will recommend to friends!

Pretty solid, would give 5 stars if it had a 5 card kitty and better AI. Also- should be able to have the option to turn 6 bids off (7 minimum) and allow inkles to your partner. Computer frequently trumps too high when a lower trump would work, also, non-bidding computer player leads trump too often, the non-bidding team should rarely lead trump. Hoping for an update w/ more options....but this is a good start.

Chiming in with others, the problem is the AI Logic. Unlike many who think "great game but the AI isnt very good", for me the problem is a complete app killer. Playing cards just isnt very fun when everyone youre playing with is pretty much an idiot. Strangely, this wasnt really an issue at all until an update sometime later in 12. I personally dont care about the kitty/deck complaints, but would appreciate a sound or two. Its getting two stars just because there is not yet another 500 app and, in real life at least, its a really good game.

How come I cant select a bid? I push 8 diamonds etc and only the skip button is available to select. Help! Please add support inside the app also. First I need to know how to bid. Thanks

Very poor algorithm for bids. Extremely poor card play decisions.

Im glad I have found a 500app, just want to make some suggestions that would make it more relevant to everyone I play with. My family and cousins have slight different set of rules: 1. We dont accept inkle bids (the 6 bids). We just use those as a form of table talk. If a 6 goes through and no one ups it, we throw the cards in. Thats all, Id greatly appreciate this added option. The game is very fun, but a few annoyances in the AI. Early in the game, the computer will trump with it’s highest trump (Joker or Right) when a lower trump card is the way to go. And I agree with other comments that a five card blind was the standard where I grew up (Minnesota). Three card is ok, just takes some getting used to.

Not happy cant bid only gives me skip option And computer ai is not to brilliant That u can handle but when I my self dont have an option to bid I should get my money back then some for wasting my time Tired of people selling buggy apps fix all the bugs or dont sell it If it was aloud before Id give this App minus 5 stars for being junk Ok it was my fault lol you have to click number first then suit So besides the crappy Ai I guess this is pretty descent and worth the money And it could use some card sounds and maybe some music options music not as important but I like my card sounds Ai defiantly needs improving

There should be an option to end the round early once a team is "set". Its the only thing from preventing this from being a 5 star. A good bonus would be to be able to play live players over the net vs just on your network.

The interface seems done within the gameplay (though the AI play trump late instead of first) but the game wont let me bid. If they fix the bidding issue my rating will go up

First thing should be to get out the trump. The AI does just the opposite and holds trump until the end. Why? Also, there are few controls and they are not accessible once the game has begun. Poor logic in design of AI and controls. Still, better than the other 500 game in the store. I wonder if these designers actually play 500??

Its so great to be able to play 500 from my iPhone, but this app has way too many bugs to be a paid app. It shuts itself down just about every time I play it, and it takes multiple attempts for me to connect to another friend who I want to play with. Im thankful that there is an app for this great game, but please fix the bugs!

Graphics are terrible even if it was a free game. Just overall terrible app

This is not a good 500 game! It does not count your tricks in points like it is suppose to. The other computerized players do not know how to play!!!
